Fosse way brilliant

I had to travel from Northampton to Cheltenham today. The sat nav wanted to take me all the way to Birmingham only to cut back down south on the M5 ( I think) I thought it a waste of time so I looked at the map instead and cut across to the Fosse way B4455 near Leamington Spa. Its a straight road so forget the high speeds cos 90 is just more dangerous than legal speeds............ but at 60 its just lovely countryside and anything travelling slower than you is easily overtaken because the road is so straight. I left the Fosse just after Bourton on the Water to head across to Cheltenham but what impressed me was how quickly I was able to cover the largest part of my journey on a good quality uncluttered road. A truly rare find these days!
