Good news. The 2013 hyo range is now coming to the UK. A company in wembley is importing them through someone other than barrus and can get them in. This means I can finaly get one.

So get your orders in lads.

Now my insurance need to hurry the fuck up.

I'm not going to get one.

I am however going to vulture on chavs that will get them at 17, then duly smash them up and sell them for parts. I think the fairing can be made to fit my 2006, and I really like the fairing.

What other differences have been made?

Just a heads up as well.

Barrus has now removed hyosung.co.uk from there site so it is now official that they have removed them self from the importing market of hyosung and sym scooters.

The only thing which insurance companies move onto with any speed is your wallet! Waiting for a payout will take ages. See what you meant about Barros. Nobody appears to want to admit on the internet that they import hyos at the moment, I hope this outfit in Wembley work out ok.

I looked at the American website and the new GT250 certainly looks good. Some of the descriptions on the American site are a bit confusing though. Stainless steel exhausts with alloy silencers doesn't match the pictures they show.

Well well I may not be getting a hyosung GT250R but a 2000 MV Agusta 750. The bike is £4500 and insurance is £1000 fully comp.

So I can afford it and to be honest I would rather have the MV Agusta than a hyosung.
Im so excited.

Now you try and explain how that insurance works.

Will do bazz. I am so excited Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I rang my dad and told him and I think he broke into tears because I wasnt getting a hyosung (tears of joy Razz ). He doesnt like hyosungs. I think he will get a bit jellous as well.

I think I may have to faf arround with gearing and such, I think 120BHP is just a little to much to jump on to from a 125 Razz .

An MV was always my dream. I've ridden an old one from the last century but that was quite something. It was a 1975 MV America 750s with shaft drive and it was stunning even in 1992 which was about when I went to see it. I am so envious Joel. If the modern MV is anything like as sophisticated as the old MV, you just wont have to worry about gearing. Just short shift a lot and let the fuel/ignition mapping smooth out the ride for you. Don't let this MV slip through your fingers like I let that one slip through mine in the early nineties mate, its the one bike I've always regreted not buying.

Ohhhh I soooooooo hope I can pick one up soon. Its a 2000 MV Agusta F4 750cc. Its done 13000 gentle miles, never seen a wet day and its a good price. He wants £4500 and its on the isle of white, so I will have to travel a bit to get it but I think its worth it.
2 previous mature owners. The last owner has done 2000 miles on it but he is 50 and he says his back is getting bad and its just a little too sporty for him.
He has the origional paper work and all MOT docs in a folder about 3 inch thick and all the paper work for the recal notices that have been done as well.

I just feel a bit guilty keeping it outside.
I think it will be funny going to the local biker spot or shurban and rocking up on a MV at 18. Razz Or going out with my pals on there 125s and scooters.

Joel , I am well over 50 and if you were to be buying that bike off me I can guarantee that it had been caned and been thoroughly drenched in all weathers but never ridden on salty roads. If this kindly old gent is telling you he's got an MV and never given it the gun, he's lying. Kindly old gents ride Honda Deauvilles not MV Agustas!

My Mam threatened me like that when I bought my very first bike ( my mum and step-dad wouldn't let me have a Fizzie at 16 like all my mates ) , so when my parents split up when I was 17 , I saved up and as soon as I turned 18 I bought my CB200 ..............

I called her bluff ...... '' if the bike goes , so do I '' speech and lo and behold , there hasn't been a day go by that I haven't had a bike .......... in fact over the first 4 years of biking I bought a bike every year ( so I then owned 4 all at once ) Wink

HAHAHA. My mum and dad were bikers. My dad wants me to have the bike because who doesnt want to say my 18 year old son has a MV and plus it is a bike my dad has dremt about. My dad jumpt up from a 250 to a 600. But my mum went 250, 350, 500, 750. She didnt even want me to get a GT650R after my 125. She wanted me to do what she did so I could appriciate the power differances. But nar il have my MV.

I think when I get it she will be mad at first but she will come round. If not meh, il have my MV to keep me company. Razz

Well the dream may not be as real as I thought. The insurance on the bike bike im doing quotes on is a registered grey import. And there is only one currently for sale that is grey and he rest are not. So unless I can find £3000 in the next 3 days or pray there is one for sale when I get my cashola then its all tits up.

Im gona ask my dad if hes got £3000 laying arround I could borrow umtil I get my monies to pay him back. As you said bazz life throws spanners in the works but just to piss me off.

If some one wants lend me £3000 that would be nice and you get paid back next month and you also get to ride my MV. tongue Razz Razz Very Happy

So I went bike shopping to see whats on the market today and there is a lot of choice for me but the insurance spoils it.
Hear is whatI can get.

Hyosung GT250R new
Hyosung GT650R new
MV Agusta F4 750 (has to be a grey import)
Suzuki GSXR 750 2006
Kawasaki Z750
Aprilia SL 750

There are a few more that I can have but these are what I would concider buying. They are in order of cheepest insurance first. If you could buy any of these what would you have dont say MV because im sort of on edge of having that bike, too much money to have it serviced and parts and running it.

Given the choice of those particular bikes, I would go first and foremost for the Kawasaki because I am tall and the Hyos are both fairing bikes. I would make an exception for the MV just because its an MV. The Aprilia is a nice bike but not as good as the Kawasaki IMHO. Given a free choice and about £5000 and a choice of anything below 750, A ducati 696 monster.
