SPEEDO ISSUE

Hi All,
I have a 2006 Hyosung GT650R, and I am having a problem changing the speedo from KMPH to MPH.
I have tried what it says on some forums with ignition off hold in select and reset together, then turn on ignition
still holding them in.
I have done this from 30 seconds to 2 Minutes with no joy.
Does anyone have any ideas on this is there another way

I recall doing it on my bike but cant remember exactly what i did. I hadnt realised that the 650s had that type of speedo in 2006 I thought it was a later addition. Baz should be able to shed some light on the issue.
