Hello from Louth
Kinda throwing this out here to see if anybody can help. I recently bought a secondhand Hyosung GT 125 which has been converted to a GT 125R (badly). I seem to be having problems with the throttle. It seems to have no guts at all. Could this be an air issue as I've noticed that the stock air filter is somewhat restrictive. Also... does anybody know where I can get hold of a gasket set in the UK. Previous owner has done a bit of a bodge job with what looks like exhaust gunk. Thanks in advance guys [/b]

Welcome to the forum Chief
Have you tried Startright in Leeds for your gaskets , also possibly Wemoto may sell them .......
otherwise your best bet would be from Korea

There are plenty of other sites I can recommend if you need them ......... and to be fair , when I've ordered stuff from Korea it usually gets delivered faster and costs much less than anything you can purchase in UK
I ordered a front brake lever for my 650 from Startright ..... £38 and took 3 weeks to be delivered just 45 miles away ............. same item from Korea was £18 and took 6 days ( ordered Saturday , delivered Thursday ) , so don't be afraid to use them
What other mods have been done to your bike besides the conversion to an R model ....... has the exhaust been changed etc. maybe somebody down the line has tried to re-jet the carbs ( a lot of people fuck about with carbs unsuccessfully and ruin the running of their bikes ) ........... would be helpful to know
Have a look at the inlet rubbers ..... from the carbs to the engine ...... these have a tendency to split with age and heat from the engine and once they split or crack they let air through which then alters the mixture and creates running problems .
More likely that than the air filter , unless the airbox has been de-snorkelled ....... again , if not done correctly this can cause more problems than it solves
Hope this helps

Re: Hello from Louth
I'm not entirely sure what has been done. I'm sure the exhaust isn't standard though. The jets are 87.5 and 90 main. I'm fairly sure those are the standard size but can't find much information on them. Without finding out what is causing the problems its virtually impossible to buy replacement parts.
