Re: Hi from Portsmouth
Hi Mark, and welcome -
I am a relatively new member here too (I'm a bit north of you.....near Glasgow!) - I have found there isn't a lot of activity on this forum, although I'm told there is some on the Facebook site for this group. However I am not on Facebook.
I have joined the international Hyosung forum Korider.com - there are a lot of members, lots of chat going on from all around the world, and plenty of info on Hyosung bikes - worth a look.
Good luck with the bike.

Re: Hi from Portsmouth
Welcome to the forum Mark
Yes , the forum is a little quiet at times but that is down to the fact the old UK Hyosung Owners Club had a fair few members and when it crashed it took all their posts , pics etc and people are now a little wary incase it happens again
But if that doesn't bother you , then feel free to come back and keep posting about your bike , rides etc. ..................... that's what keeps forums like this alive
Some people expect to see lots of activity on forums like this but unless they are willing to contribute ( you would be amazed at how many people have registered on here and then have never come back or posted or introduced themselves ) ..............
Hope to see you ALL regular on here guys

Re: Hi from Portsmouth
Nice ride
I miss my little GV so much more comfy than my gtr I could ride for hours with no problems now my back hurts after 39 mins in the saddle
#gettingoldsucks
What you got planned for her next ?

Re: Hi from Portsmouth
Fog lights and a front crash bar so I can add some foot bars. As i'm 6" and need to extend my legs a little. Might go for some hard box's on the back. Maybe a new spray job too but saying that I do like the color.

Re: Hi from Portsmouth
I sold my Suzuki SV650S for the same reason, I could enjoy it (and ride properly) for half an hour, maybe 3/4 hour then I stiffened up and the old back got sore - swapped it for my Hyo GT650.... now sitting more upright ...... much better!!
I like the dark red or burgundy paint on the GV - if it's in good nick, you could just do some highlight or contrast flashes in silver? I just sold a burgundy and silver GPZ and it looked great.... well except for the contrast flashes in lilac!
Swapped, although it was a beauty! -

Re: Hi from Portsmouth
Nice job - I did wonder about getting 'straight bars' or risers on the SV but I just wasn't sure about the practicality of it......

Re: Hi from Portsmouth
You may remember not too long ago , they used to make a NAKED SV just as Hyosung make the Comet and the GTR versions so it wouldn't have been a difficult job
There really isn't that much difference between mine and a Comet now ( my mate GeeMan had the exact same bike as yourself ) , apart from the screen giving me an easier ride on the M/ways ...... the double bubble is my second screen as I cut and painted my original ( both screens have been cut because otherwise the levers touch on full lock ) but although it was fine around town , once I ventured onto the M/way the buffeting became too much so hence the higher profile of the double bubble
It's a look thing as well I guess ........... I always preferred the look of the GTR and was physically OK when I bought mine but once the back started to go obviously something had to change and I got my idea for mine from the Hyo GTS ..... which is quite rare on these shores
